Lumasolator 360
lumasolator 360 is a 3d lightpainting installation in which participants make drawings with the help of flashlicht or light tools. 64 cameras around result in a spectacular 3d movie loop in which we circle around the person in the midst of their 3 dimentional lightscupture.When entering the circular room of 5 m , a soundtrack starts and paritcipants are guided to the proces of lightwriting Work lights , flash and 64 cameras shutters are programmed automaticly, there is a preview within seconds and you can send yourself an email right after.
Lumasolator is an installation where the audience becomes artist and subject, the audience make the show, and we give them the ultimate light tools and setup to do so.
early work 1997 pipslab
In 1997Pipslab( Keez duijves,Remco Verveer and Steven van Hulle) started a project called lumasol. With 0 euro budget and a lot disposible plastic camera's with celluloid film we captured the first 3d lightgraffiti in the world above club mazzo in amsterdam .Shot with open shutters and in total darkness. We had to devellop scan and animate by hand, took us two months.... Nowadays with x-angle software and a digital automatic set- up we ( and others who copied the idea) make a light graffiti in 15 secondes. The footage is bumpy but historic, so must be on site.
